ABOUT PROJECT
This Is is the only single Walter and I released from our alternative/indie rock album, Change Doesn’t Change, though funnily enough, it came out after the album, on its three-year anniversary. I wanted to put it out as a single because we had the chance to collaborate on the remix with the incredibly talented lyricist and rapper Skyzoo, set over Sonograd's moody and mysterious production—a distinct contrast to the sound of the album itself. The vocals were originally recorded with a loose feel in relation to the beat, and we didn’t re-record them for the remix, which adds to the off-kilter, moody vibe that mirrors the song’s themes.
This release also includes the instrumental and a cappella versions for you to enjoy.
