OVERVIEW

NYRKR is a photography book by street photographer DotShotIt, showcasing images of his hometown, New York City, captured between 2015 and 2018. Given its focus on photography, the design takes a minimal approach, ensuring that nothing visually distracts from the book's main content.

As the first in a series, the cover features a single line that extends across the spine and back—an evolving design element that will gain an additional line with each new volume. The NYRKR logo, set in a custom typeface, draws inspiration from the city’s rough edges and straight lines, reinforcing its urban aesthetic. The color palette echoes the city’s familiar tones, with the cover in cool concrete gray, printed on uncoated cardstock that naturally wears over time, adding character much like the streets of New York.

The first limited edition print of NYRKR is featured prominently on this page, alongside a second permanent print available on Amazon. The latter is slightly different in size and features a photo on the cover.
