Hvdson

Hvdson is a Canadian producer and singer-songwriter. When he approached me to work on his logo, he had a solid idea of what he wanted; the symbol was to consist of two triangles pointing opposite directions (one up, the other down). The goal was to design a logo whose two elements—symbol and type—worked well together and separately. The symbol itself is straightforward, but I opted for designing two distinct triangles. Hvdson's versatility influenced that decision. His work's style also inspired the custom serif typeface used for his name. To help bring the two parts of the logo together, the "V" in HVDSON bends at the same angle as the symbol's triangles.
