Pom Pom Squad’s debut album, Death of a Cheerleader, channels ’90s nostalgia by blending punk, grunge, and indie rock with a dark yet playful edge. The album explores themes of identity and heartbreak through raw, expressive vocals and rebellious energy.

Guided by lead singer Mia Berrin’s artistic vision, the visual identity echos this contrast of sweetness and unease. Grainy textures and slightly distorted details visually convey the album’s emotional tension, while gooey, irregular typography (where no letter looks exactly the same) plays into the off-beat feel. Soft heart shapes and a bold red-and-pink palette tie everything together, balancing the gritty with the pretty for an eye-catching and cohesive look.
